Due to the huge success of Glenarm Musikfest 2009 , Impact Promotions are extremely proud to announce the return of the 4 day festival this May, 2010. Bigger and better this year, Musikfest has something for everyone, from the young to the old, and with the addition of a new event for 2010, Impact Promotions promises a fun filled entertaining weekend of events, tailored to suit everyone. The program for Musikfest 2010 is as follows:

THURSDAY 27^TH MAY 2010,
GLENARM SPORTS FIELD  @ 7.30pm
‘IT’S A KNOCKOUT’ TEAM CHALLENGE

Back for 2010 and in association with Cromore Castles, this competitive event really does provide so much fun for the young and old alike. In addition to the good old favourite Knockout games, this year will see new games ranging from The Demolition Zone, The Rodeo Bull, Human Table Football (a great game for the wannabe footballers) and indeed the favourite Obstacle Course Teams are invited from all villages/towns, organisations, groups, Church’s, businesses etc. and compete to be crowned Musikfest Knockout Champions 2010. Admission to this event is FREE. Registration from 7.00pm

FRIDAY 28^TH MAY 2010, GLENARM VILLAGE 
‘FANCY DRESS PARADE & VINTAGE RALLY’

Starting from Altmore Street, at 7.30pm, this annual event is a favourite with everyone and we always look forward to it. Last years parade included The Northern Ireland Fire Service, the RNLI etc. and a wide range of vintage cars, tractors and lorries. Last year seen our biggest crowd ever. It was fantastic. This year again Impact Promotions will be inviting all families, community groups, school, organisations, clubs, etc. to come along, and dress to impress with a chance of winning great prizes. Floats/displays will also be taking part this year again including the RNLI which is an annual favourite. After the parade and prize giving for each category taking part, there will be a FREE BBQ and Live Music from Zolene and the ALS Band (from Larne) at Glenarm Beachfront. Registration from 7.00pm, Altmore Street.

SATURDAY 29^TH MAY 2010,
GLENARM BEACHFRONT, 12 Noon :   
‘ANTRIM COAST REGATTA 2010’

In association with Glenarm Rowing Club, we are proud to announce this NEW EVENT to the 2010 line up. This promises to be a spectacular event, with rowing clubs along the AntrimCoast and beyond taking part in this Rowing Race, in the cold waters of GlenarmBay. There will be a trophy and prize for the winning team.
The first race will begin at 12noon in Glenarm Bay and spectator viewing points will be best along Glenarm Beachfront and Marina. Again there is no charge for taking part.

SATURDAY 29^TH MAY 2010,
GLENARM BEACHFRONT @ 7.00PM :

MAIN EVENT : LIVE CONCERT & FIREWORKS DISPLAY

This is the Main Event of the 4-day festival. Last year we had our biggest crowd ever with around 2000 people turning up to watch the concert and fireworks display. Our purpose of bringing the different communities together was greatly achieved last year.

This year Impact Promotions are excited to announce that NBC Nashville Star and American Idol 2009 Finalist  ‘BRENT KEITH’ from Nashville Tennessee will be headlining this years concert at Glenarm Beachfront.  Brent has indeed got a huge fanbase in America having being a finalist on NBC Nashville Star and quite recently was on the eighth season of American Idol 2009, winning his spot on the Live Shows filmed in Hollywood. This was a major step in his music career. Many other accolades in his career include being asked to be the artist to produce the theme song to the movie 'The Dale Earnhardt Story' distributed by ESPN. The song 'I'm Looking for a Road' became a huge hit for Brent. Brent brings to the audience his own unique blend of Contemporary Country, Classic/Contemporary Rock, and Soul. He has developed his sound, solid guitar playing, and riveting live performances through constant touring over the past decade and has a demanding presence and quiet confidence that effortlessly grabs your attention and makes it hard to look away.

Supporting Brent will be Leah McFall, winner of the Coca-Cola All Ireland Music Finals and Best Vocal Talent at the ITS International Showcase event in Paris. Leah is recognized as a truly awesome singer/songwriter with her unique soulful voice and confident but friendly composition. Other supporting artists include Dan Lyth from Scotland and local vocal group, Revelation. There will also be a performance from the Psalm Drummers to top off the line-up. Compere for the evening will be U105 Radio Presenter ‘Juls Martin’. What a line-up for 2010!!

The concert will come to a close with a huge Fireworks Extravaganza over GlenarmBay.

Hot and Cold Refreshments (including Free Tea and Coffee) will be available as well as a designated Musikfest Kids Zone consisting of bouncy castles, face painting etc. There will also be a merchandise marquee erected onsite.  Admission to the concert is FREE

SUNDAY 30^TH MAY 2010 :
GLENARM BEACHFRONT, 3.30PM – 
‘SUMMER SESSION’ with Dan Lyth

This is the last event as part of Musikfest 2010 : Dan Lyth along with his band from Scotland will be Live in Concert on Glenarm Beachfront at 3.30PM. Dan has had much success to date and recently performed a Live Session on BBC Radio 1, Scotland. With Dan on board for Sunday afternoon, this promises to be a great end to the weekend’s festivities. Admission Free.
